Devin Haney Requests For Disqualification After Ryan Garcia Failed Drug Test

Devin Haney Requests For Disqualification After Ryan Garcia Tested Positive For Ostarine

Devin Haney is now pushing to get Ryan Garcia disqualified after the boxer’s failed drug test. Devin’s attorney has demanded the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) disqualify Ryan Garcia following his controversial win on April 20.

Ryan Garcia’s positive test for banned performance enhancing substance, Ostarine has now overshadowed his victory against Devin, landing him in a controversial situation.

According to reports reaching us at Dreddsworld, Devin Haney’s attorney, Pat English, has submitted a compelling eight-page plea to the commission’s directors and officials, arguing for Garcia’s disqualification based on precedent and the specifics of this case.

This action could potentially strip the Mexican-American boxer of his win, marking it as a loss, and reassign the victory to Haney.

The fight was all over the news due to Garcia’s unexpected behavior prior to the match, including weighing in over three pounds above the 140-pound limit and his admission of using weight manipulation as a strategy for gaining an unfair advantage.

Unfortunately, Garcia tested positive for ostarine both before and on the day of the fight, jeopardizing his win over Devin.

Couple weeks back, Devin Haney’s father, Bill Haney, spoke out on Ryan’s drug test saying: “You trying to hurt my baby. We played it fair.”

“We didn’t do it like that. F**k boxing, this is some bulls**t. I came from the streets. You scared of Devin on a level playing field. I feel f***ed up over this,” Bill added.
