Nicki Minaj Becomes First Female Rapper To Sell Out 36 Consecutive Arena Shows

Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2: Gag City World Tour’ has been a huge success. She sold out the entire U.S. leg of the tour, making history as the first female rapper to do so.

Nicki sold out 36 consecutive shows, becoming the only female rapper in history to do it and it’s the highest grossing tour by a female rapper in history.

Congratulations to Nicki as it seems she can’t stop giving her fans bragging rights. Over a decade in the game as one of the best lyricists all round, she’s obviously deserving of the success.

Nicki also reacted to the new record by sharing a clip of the report by Angela Yee on her page, writing, “I still have to post the last 4 shows that I didn’t get a chance to post yet, but I’d like to thank EVERYONE who’s become a #GagCityResident.”

She continues, “I’d like to thank the incredible ppl who whether on stage or behind the stage, every single night, have been the most incredible, talented & reliable ppl on earth in order to make this show happen for the Barbz in the most over the top, stunning & unique way.”

“We’re just getting started tho. So many ppl have asked if I’d consider adding more US DATES. Anyway, headed to Europe in a few days. Love you,” Nicki added.

Fans have since been reacting to the accomplishment. “No music video, no n* kedness, pure talent,” someone commented. “I can’t stop talking about how good that tour was y’all like omg it was worth it I’ll forever give Nicki her 10’s+ more,” another person wrote.

“Angela Yee reporting this makes this even more valid considering nick and her had a fallout so we know this not bias congrats to the queen,” someone else penned. “5th studio album went #1 alongside a sold out world tour. How dare y’all ever put anybod’s name in the same sentence as Nicki Minaj,” another user added.
