A Slim Shady Obituary Appears In A Detroit Newspaper: ‘Slim Shady Made Lasting Impressions’

For a very long time, Slim Shady has been an alter ego for Eminem, dating back to 1997’s “Slim Shady EP” and “The Slim Shady LP,” which arrived two years later. But it appears the rapper is now parting ways with the alter ego.

Em often use Slim Shady alter ego to deliver his violent and aggressive raps, making him a controversial rapper from the start of his career.

Back in April, Eminem announced that his 12th studio album “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)” will be releasing this summer. The Missouri rapper made the announcement shortly before making an appearance at the NFL Draft.

A trailer for the album surfaced online after his NFL cameo, showing a true crime reporter discussing the death of Eminem’s alter ego, Slim Shady. “Through his complex and oft-criticized, tongue-twisting rhymes, the anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies,” the reporter says.

50 Cent made a cameo in the trailer. “He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath,” Fif says. The reporter continues, “The same rude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his demise. Join me as we recreate the events that led to the murder of Slim Shady.”

Em himself makes an appearance, saying, “I knew it was only a matter of time for Slim.”

In the latest promotional release of the new album, a Slim Shady obituary has now appeared in a Detroit newspaper. “Slim Shady Made Lasting Impressions,” the headline reads. “Fans “Will Never Forget” Controversial Rapper.”

“A product of Detroit who began his career there as a rogue splinter in the flourishing underground rap seene of the mid to late 1990’s, Shady first. became a household name in 1999 with the debut of his playfully deranged single “My Name Is,” which – along with its uniquely eye catching video – exposed the young artist and his lyrics to a wider audience. That audience was soon exposed to the extreme darkness of the muse/ rapper, as he led millions of music fans down a road that glorified a demonstrably nihilistic worldview,” the content reads.

“Ultimately, the very things that seemed to be the tools he used became calling cards that defined an existence that could only come to a sudden and horrific end. His complex and tortured existence has come to a close, and the legacy he leaves behind is no closer to resolution than the manner in which this character departed this world.

May he truly find the peace in an afterlife that he could not find on Earth.”
